As a Health Educator, Amina has seen firsthand the impact basic health education can have on the lives of people living in medically underserved communities. For many years, she has worked on the front-lines to connect people to community resources they desperately need. In doing so, she often finds that either community members did not have easy access to the needed resources or were not aware such resources were available to them!

Providing additional health-related services and resources can have a major impact on community members by helping to improve quality of life and increase awareness of disease management and prevention. As a Wellness Ambassador, Amina provides her services as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) free of charge to communities in need. She will also recognize local organizations that work as Wellness Ambassadors by supporting fundraising efforts, attending special events and volunteering her time.
